About this property
Kingsway is a small upstairs apartment at 2 Kings Way, adults only, set up for two people and not pretending to be anything more.
Steps climb from a driveway lined with cactus plants. The apartment is on an upper floor reached by stairs and has its own private entrance, and it faces into a courtyard rather than out at the road.
One room that does everything
The living space is open plan: a grey couch, a kitchen counter beyond it, a small dining table by the glass doors. The kitchen has a hob, an oven, a sink, a microwave and open shelving, which is a real kitchen rather than a gesture at one. An oval dining table sits beneath a chameleon wall sculpture. There is air conditioning, and a television with streaming on it.
The tufted headboard
The bedroom has a dark tufted headboard, a lamp beside it and towels folded on the bed for your arrival. Linen is provided. The bathroom is small and plain, with a mirror, a shower and blinds at the window.
Above the treetops
Glass doors open from the dining table onto a balcony looking down over trees and the driveway. There is a braai and a patio as well, so cooking outside is possible for two without much ceremony.
Where Kings Way leads
Kings Way runs down towards the handful of shops and eating places that serve the island, making this about as central as Leisure Isle gets. The lagoon edge, where clear water meets a sandbank, is a walk away. Steenbok Nature Reserve takes up the northern shore, free and open whenever you want it. There is a fuller list to compare against.
Two people, no more
A couple. It is adults only and it is small, and it suits people who plan to be out most of the day.
