The island is residential and low-rise, so most of what Booking files under "apartment" here is a self-contained unit within or beside a house — a garden flat, a converted lower level, a separate entrance off the same plot. Several of the addresses in our data say so outright: one is listed as a private entrance on the corner of Steenbok Crescent.

That makes them the sensible choice for two people, or for anyone who wants a kitchen and their own space without taking on a whole house. You still self-cater, you still come and go on your own key, and you are still on the island rather than across the water in town.
