Leisure Island Apartment

Leisure Island Apartment is a one-bedroom flat on Kensington Gardens, upstairs in a semi-detached building, with its own entrance and a small balcony off the front.

You reach it by stairs and there is no ground-floor access. Parking is on the property. The balcony carries a decorative privacy screen down one side, which is what makes it somewhere to sit rather than somewhere to be looked at.

Blue couch, breakfast bar

The living room has a blue couch and patterned dining chairs drawn up to a round wooden table. The kitchen is white-cabinetted with a fridge and a breakfast bar, and it is a kitchenette in the honest sense — a stovetop, a microwave, a toaster and a kettle rather than a full oven. There is a flat-screen television, a fan and heating.

One room, four in total

The bedroom has a blue headboard with patterned pillows, a red rug underfoot and towels folded ready on the bed. Linen is provided and there is a wardrobe. A sofa bed in the living room brings the number it sleeps to four. The bathroom is straightforward: vanity sink, toilet, towel rail, shower.

Table for two outside

The balcony takes a table and two chairs, and there is a braai, a patio and outdoor furniture on the property.

Around Kensington Gardens

Leisure Isle is flat and residential, reached from Knysna by the Armstrong Road causeway and by nothing else. Steenbok Nature Reserve occupies the northern shore and is free to walk into. There are larger houses on Leisure Isle if four of you would rather have more room.
