About this property
One on Bollard is a white cottage on Bollard Road divided into suites, each with its own doors onto a patio, and the whole of it buried in tree ferns.
You see it across a lawned garden with a shaded table standing on it, or through the ferns from the path. A narrow water feature lined with more ferns runs between the buildings. There is accessible parking, and bicycles are kept on the patio for guests. After dark the windows light up and candles go onto the patio tables.
Shuttered doors and a kettle station
The entrance hall has a console table, a mirror and patterned chairs. A lounge holds wicker armchairs beside shuttered doors opening to the patio, a kettle station in one corner and a television. Breakfast is provided and can be brought to the room. There is air conditioning.
Suites opening onto ferns
The rooms are many and every one of them opens outward, glass or sliding doors giving onto a patio with greenery immediately beyond. A bright king room has built-in wardrobes and a wall-mounted television; others carry red patterned cushions with a mirrored nightstand, blush cushions, teal cushions, wave artwork above the bed. Several have a sofa bed and some a vanity desk with sofa seating. The bathrooms are the strong suit: freestanding tubs beneath plantation-shutter windows, double vessel sinks under wide mirrors, glass-enclosed showers.
Decking among tree ferns
Patio dining tables sit out on decking ringed by tree ferns, and sun loungers line the paving against a dark garden fence. A garden patio takes a table for four under an umbrella. Much of the outdoor space sits directly outside a room rather than in a shared yard.
Bollard Road and the sand
Kayaks and catamarans get pulled up on the sand nearby, dogs are walked along it, and the sun goes down over the water at the end of it. Leisure Isle is reached by the Armstrong Road causeway. If you would rather cook, there are houses let whole.
Who it works for

Guests consistently mention
Where it sits is the single most-raised subject in our sample, and all but one guest who mentioned it did so warmly.
Raised in 11 of 25 written reviews. Tone: Mostly positive
The hosting comes up almost as often as the setting, and nearly everyone who raised it was positive.
Raised in 10 of 25 written reviews. Tone: Mostly positive
Breakfast is a recurring theme and was criticised by nobody in our sample — worth confirming what is included when you book.
Raised in 6 of 25 written reviews. Tone: Mostly positive
Worth knowing before you book
Nothing recurring came up as a drawback in this sample.
Themes are counted mechanically from the written reviews in our sample, then described in our own words. A theme missing from either column simply did not recur often enough to report — it is not a verdict either way.
