About this property
The Nest is a small detached place on George Avenue, adults only, arranged around a brick-and-timber deck with a slatted pergola over the top of it.
A brick-walled path runs past a tree to the entrance. It is all on one level, with accessible parking outside. Being detached, the deck and the courtyard nook belong to whoever is staying and nobody else.
Cream sofas, kitchenette behind
The living area is open plan, cream sofas facing one another with a kitchenette behind them and sliding doors to outside. The kitchen handles proper cooking: an oven, a stovetop, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, kitchenware, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The scale of the place does suggest you will not be feeding a crowd.
Wooden frame, red cushions
The bedroom has a wooden bed frame on wood floors with red accent cushions, and the beds are the extra-long sort. Linen, towels and toiletries are provided. The bathroom has a round mirror above a vessel sink and a walk-in shower.
The pergola deck
The deck is brick and timber under its slatted roof, partly screened by foliage, with patio chairs and a table on it. An outdoor nook alongside holds bar stools and small round tables. There is an outdoor fireplace, a braai, a sun terrace and a garden.
George Avenue and the water
Green bicycles with baskets stand on the lawn, and the sandy lagoon shore is a short ride away, with small boats moored out on the flat water. Pets are allowed. Fruit and breakfast can be brought to the room. There are guest houses nearby for anyone wanting more service than that.
Two adults
It is adults only and compact, and it suits a couple who want a deck, a kitchen and quiet.

Guests consistently mention
Where it sits is the most-raised subject in our sample and drew no complaints at all.
Raised in 8 of 17 written reviews. Tone: Mostly positive
The outside space recurs as a theme and most guests who raised it were pleased.
Raised in 4 of 17 written reviews. Tone: Mostly positive
Worth knowing before you book
Opinion on the hosting is genuinely divided — praise and criticism came up in almost equal measure in our sample, which is unusual on a property otherwise rated this highly. If a hands-on welcome matters to you, ask what to expect before you book.
Raised in 6 of 17 written reviews. Tone: Mixed
Themes are counted mechanically from the written reviews in our sample, then described in our own words. A theme missing from either column simply did not recur often enough to report — it is not a verdict either way.
